Tuesday 18th October ,Whale Report
We had a spectacular morning on the water with a total of 12 whales. We were very excited to encounter a competition 1 ½ nautical miles off Point Cartwright. The pod of 6 males were actively competing for a female and delighted our guests by coming right up to the boat for a close encounter. We followed the pod for an hour until two whales broke away from the pack and we went with them. We were rewarded with fluke up dives and another close encounter. We finished the morning with a close encounter with a protective mother and her young calf 1 ½ nautical miles north of Point Cartwright.

The afternoon passengers were treated to a Mother and Calf giving a great show. Some close encounters, with plenty of peduncle throws. The seas were calm and all on board had a great time watching the action.
