Whale Report 15th September

Beautiful sea conditions today with clear skies and excellent visibility.  The whales were taking advantage of the calm water and had excellent surface time today.  We saw two pods this morning, both of a mother and calf but had a close encounters with one mother and calf who were travelling with an escort.  The calf was playing, waving its tail out of the water and swimming up close to the boat.  The calf also did some peduncle throws while mum relaxed.  We also spotted some dolphins on our way back in.

This afternoon we spotted a mother and calf travelling with an escort and they all seemed very relaxed until they were joined by an entire pod of Bottlenose Dolphins.  The calf  got very excited, rolling over and playing with the dolphins. They played together, chasing each other around and under our boat, much to the delight of our guests.
