Whale Report – Thursday 1st September
This morning our guests on Whale One saw a pod of 7 humpback whales playing 3 nautical miles off Pt Cartwright, performing fluke up dives, rolling on their sides, close encounters and generally looked happy to see us. The conditions were calm with gentle swell.
5 nautical miles east north east the Skipper found a pod of 3 breaching whales this afternoon, as well as chin slaps, fluke up dives and peduncle throws. Another single whale on the way back in, and apart from a few ripples, lovely calm weather.
