Whale One with whale behindThis morning the passengers and crew cruised out to find two adult humpback whales only 6 nautical miles from Coolum. Beautiful sea conditions there were plenty to see. They even gave us a wave goodbye with some tail slaps!

Whale One & Wild One were both out on the water this afternoon. All passengers were treated to perfect conditions. Whale One Skipper Lance reported a pod of 6 humpbacks heading south just off Mt Coolum shortly after entering Mooloolaba Bay.
Wild One followed shortly after with her group of excited passengers. As we cruised along, the blows from these 40 tonne mammals could be seen a long way off. This is the benefit of calm seas. Superb whale watching conditions.
Following along beside these whales we were treated to beautiful fluke up dives, pec fin throws and loads of surface time showing the incredible size of these massive humpbacks. Other whales were sighted further out.
“Wild One” returned to the dock whilst “Whale One” cruised out to find another pod of whales. The crew on board were thrilled to report breaching from this pod.
A brilliant Friday afternoon!
