This morning our new boat “Wild One” was on duty, and came across a mother and yearling breaching very close in about 1/2 a nautical mile off Point Cartwright. They then went further afield to find another single juvenile breaching, tail slapping and entertaining with perduncle throws.
This afternoon’s cruise came across a pod of 3 very quickly again very close in, the pod mugged the boat, gave us spy hops, fluke up dives and pec waves before the Skipper moved on to see another pod of 2 who gave us some close encounters.
Conditions were good, with a short swell and plenty of sunshine.
