Today we had such excellent conditions out on the water this morning, with calm seas and warm sunshine! Our first whales for the day were 2 pods of 2 whales about 8 mile out. We saw a breach in the distance as well as peduncle throws! Later on we had 3 to 4 pods around the boat all in a close distance.We had close interactions with a sub-adult and a female adult.
Less than 2 miles offshore we found 2 pods of whales – the 2nd pod was mother and calf with the mother allowing us to interact with the calf. Plenty of close encounters for the afternoon.
