First pod of 2 whales were spotted 2 nautical miles north-east of Point Cartwright.These whales were playing, fluke up dives even some breaching!
We then headed south and found a pod of 3 Humpback whales who were pec slapping and gave us a breach 10 metres from the front of the boat!
Later we came across 3 more whales who were very curious indeed. The whales were showing us some peduncle throws, mugging the boat, breaching, fluke up dives and were swimming around the boat.
This afternoon heading offshore we saw a single humpback whale breaching only 2 Nautical miles from shore as we approached this whale it continued its breaching along with many pec slaps, we followed this whale for a while then moved onto find a pod of 3 competition whales charging around and on the surface a lot.
