Total of 15+ Whales!!
Calm conditions today and only 2 nautical miles off Point Cartwright we were greeted by a mother and calf who were very active in giving us a show. The Mother was fluking and there were plenty on peduncle throws from them both.
Also today we saw a mini pod of 3 adult Humpback whales. These whales were pushing and shoving each other, eager to see us. They gave us some spectacular close encounters which was perfect end to a great morning out on the water. Plenty of whales, so all had a great time on board Whale One!

Today the perfect weather and calm conditions continued into the afternoon. The whales well and truly were out and about to enjoy it!
Our first whales for the afternoon were 2 nautical miles out and were two sets of mother and calves! The calves were active showing off their fin slaps, breaching skills and peduncle throws.
A little further out we saw another mum and a calf that gave us some breaches!
Further out from those were another mother and calf. These two hung around the boat and while mum did some peduncle throws, the calf did some chin slapping and breaching. This pair gave us some close encounters!
There were whales galore out today and we saw many in the distance!
