The weather this week has been absolutely stunning and it was no different for our Saturday morning Whale Watching trip! Whale One headed out from Mooloolaba and came across our first whales for the day, a mother and her calf. This mother had her flippers full with this cheeky calf as he stuck his head out of the water to look at us and attempted to breach. We then had a huge breach off the mother and some fluke up dives. After some great surface time with these two we headed back in for the afternoon trip.
Our second trip of the day saw continued fantastic weather conditions. We had some great marine life action before we even saw whales! Dolphins were jumping and swimming in front of our boat and we even saw a local green sea turtle!
Our first whale was a single adult who displayed fluke up dives and breathed out huge blows of water from his blowhole. Next we travelled further along and saw a pod of 2 who gave us some great surface time and blows, then decided to dive deep with their flukes up waving goodbye.
