Today was absolutely spectacular day out on the water and the whales were in large numbers entertained our guests! We began the day with seeing at least 20 pods in the distance and had a sub-adult breaching which captured our attention. The sub-adult showed off doing a cork-screw breach, only 3 nautical miles offshore. We pod hopped with about 3 or 4 pods, getting some close encounters until we reached another subadult who tail slapped, pec slapped and mugged the boat!
On our way home we had an adult whale pec slap to wave us goodbye, having the guests onboard give him a standing ovation! Sea conditions were calm and sunny!
