Our day of Whale Watching started only 150 metres off Point Cartwright with a trio of humpback whales! A mother, calf and adult escort were spotted cruising south so we hung out with them for about 45minutes.
Our next whales of the day were another mother and her calf. The mother was huge and the calf was breaching for us! These two were heading north and were spotted 3kms off Buddina. We also saw some dolphins out swimming!
This afternoon we saw a whales 100 metres off the break wall! To the northeast of Point Cartwright we spotted a mum and calf duo who were playful indeed. The calf was breaching and his mum was doing some peduncle throws! Great action from these two!
