The morning started with a pod of 2 adult Humpbacks 1.5nautical miles off Point Cartwright. They started off slow with a few fluke up dives then came for a close encounter mugging our boat for an hour. Swimming back-and-forth under the boat which was an amazing show! They then swam out joining another pod of two which were more active on the surface doing continuous peck slaps, tail slaps and peduncle throws. On our trip back we encountered a large pot of bottlenose dolphins and ended with a green sea turtle sighting!
For this afternoon, started with a pod of 3 adult humpbacks doing tail slaps, pack slaps and peduncle throws. We then ventured onto a single adult who did multiple breaches, at least 15 giving everyone a great show! The single whale joined up with another pod of 2 for about 10 minutes before continuing breaching on its own. There was about 12 whales within a mile of the boat as we made our way back in and we also had dolphins too!
Our guests today were ecstatic and couldn’t believe how incredible these animals are and how lucky they were to see them in the wild!
