What a stunning day to welcome the Pacific Jewel Cruise Ship into Mooloolaba! Our whale watching trip ventured out and only 3 nautical miles out spotted our smallest calf we have seen this season accompanied of course by his young mother. This calf was very light grey which indicates to us he is very much a newborn. We had a close look at him but they didn’t want to be disturbed so we left them to fins some more whales. After seeing a breach in the distance capturing our attention we headed off to 6 mile offshore near Mount Coolum. We found 2 adults who showed off with some peduncle throws, tail lobs and slaps. To finish off we cruised past Old Woman Island to see some resident turtles and cruised past the beach on our way home!
