Today we had a magical encounter 5.6 nautical miles South East, with a pod of 5 humpback whales who mugged our boat! These playful whales gave us a 70 minute up close and personal experience that absolutely wowed our guests on board. They swam under the boat and waited on the bottom, directly under the boat then popped back up beside us. There was a small amount of boisterous behaviour between them but them they showed off with some spy hops, poking their heads out of the water. They seemed as though they didn’t want us to leave as they pec slapped very close almost splashing us.
