The Whale One boat left the wharf on time today. Three mile out we had our first pod of 3 which included 2 Adult whales and a juvenile. They were logging along the surface of the water. We continued on and 5 mile out we came across another pod of 3 who put on a display of double pec slap’s. This appeared to all on board that the whale was actually doing backstroke!! then what we all like to see – breaches. Further along we came across another single whale breaching and with head lunges. This whale gave us dozens of breaches and some fantastic photo opportunities. A few head lunges in there as well. The clear waters showed us many common dolphins and again another coral sea snake. These snakes are black and yellow in colour. Sea conditions were good with minimal swell.
