Morning cruises!
7am Cruise- 2 whales
A mother and calf spotted only half a mile off Point Cartwright this morning. We had them peduncle throwing, tail slapping and swimming in sync. Even some logging at the surface too.
10:30 am cruise
About 4 miles offshore we encountered a pod of adult whales. They were avoiding us a bit and gave a few tail slaps so we ventured out a little further to a mother, calf and escort pod. A bit quiet at first but eventually the calf started playing up breaching and chin slapping.
A big peduncle throw from mum and the escort started chin slapping also opening his mouth wide as he did. A double fluke up dive for us too!
