Again, Glassy ocean conditions made it a perfect day for whale encounters, it was not long after leaving the bay of Mooloolaba that we caught our first glimpse of a humpback breaching 4nm away, we managed to get up close and personal with this whale while it was still engaged in some great acrobatics, take a look at today’s photos, we traveled south with this whale for about 4nm before leaving him and catching up with another pod of two mature whales, they showed off with some lovely peduncle throws.
