With yesterday’s comments being “the weather couldn’t get any better”, mother nature set out to prove us wrong!!
This morning’s trip was an absolute gem with ocean conditions being as calm as the river. A smoke haze from the offshore night breeze limited the view a bit and was the only blemish on an otherwise perfect day.
It looks like the mothers and calves have finally started to come back down in numbers with several seen today. We were following one cute calf and mum only to have another pair join them and start to play and then a third pair did the same!! These six whales stayed very close to the boat and were enjoyed by us as well as several other boats out enjoying the fantastic Sunshine Coast and the first week-end of school holidays.
