On whales ones cruise today passengers had an encounter with a variety of beautiful marine species. Within four miles of the journey dolphins were in tow and were surfing the boats wake, leaping and racing whilst the happy passengers snapped a few great photographs. The whales came next and the encounter was wonderful, two sub males spent over an hour cruising by the vessel performing peduncle slaps, graceful tail flukes and dives. More whales were spotted throughout the journey a total of 5 in two separate pods. To add to these great encounters turtles were also spotted drifting and diving along the water’s surface within a very close distance to the boat. The seas were good for cruising with SW winds, and a 5knot breeze.
The swell is forecast to be dropping off, so the days ahead should be just right for whale watching.
