Today the sea was calm, we had a 10knot southerly breeze and a 1 meter swell. The first whale was spotted about 8 miles off the coast off Mooloolaba and it was performing for us doing peduncle throws and tails slaps. Later on we spotted another sub adult whale 12 miles out who was cruising along and we stayed with him for half an hour. On our way back we were very lucky and saw a large pod of about 20 dolphins 6 miles off the coast and a pod of three whales just 4.5 miles off the coast.

What a great day, five whales and 20 dolphins…how lucky are we?!
