Although we had a little rain about 12 miles east of Point Cartwright this morning the sea conditions were good and calm. The shower certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits when we were treated to a spectacular show with 8 whales having a competition. We followed them the entire trip and saw lots of pushing and shoving, fluke up dives, tail slaps, close encounters (the whales were within 30 meters of the boat) and even a breach only 20 meters in front of the boat. Towards the end of the trip we also saw dolphins playing around the whales. Pictures coming soon!
