Today we had a 2 meter lazy swell with hardly any wind, just a light breeze over the ocean. We found our first whales 2.5 miles out, we saw a pod of two and then a single whale traveling along. The whale showed off his impressive pectoral fin (Humpback whales pecs can be up to 15 feet long!) by pec slapping and then went down for 7 minutes before we saw a full breach and blows in the distance. We were lucky to have close encounters with another pod of 2 who came right up to the boat, plenty of fluke up dives to be seen.
