The morning whale report! Today 8 miles off Point Cartwright we came across a mother and calf. The mother did some fluke up dives and we followed them as they cruised along at their own pace. We then played with a common dolphin for a while. A juvenile whale came our way doing tail slaps, up and down dives and peduncle throws. On our way back in we could see two whales breaching and pec slapping but unfortunately we didn’t have time to stop. They were only a few miles out from shore but due to the afternoon cruise heavily booked today we needed to be be back on time.
