Today there were a total of 12 whales today.

The weather settled from yesterdays winds to bring out calm seas and hardly a breeze. The whales were out in force with the first pod spotted just 15 minutes after leaving the Mooloolaba canal. The skipper reported some magic action as he described breaching, pectoral fin slapping, fluke up dives and more. A single whale was also wanting to join in and came over to say “Hi”. Later in the morning another pod of 2 swam by making the early morning rise well worth the effort for our passengers.

All three trips were treated to some very close encounters.
