This morning’s trip we spotted 2 pods of a mother and a calf about 3 miles North East of Point Cartwright. We saw them several times and then found another pod of 3 adults, which we followed South. The pod performed pectoral slaps, tail slaps and peduncle throws, as well as several close encounters and fluke updives. We also saw a couple of turtles up close swimming on by.
Sea conditions were a bit average today, with 12 knot Northerly winds and a bit of chop with a metre swell.
