Only 2.5 – 3 miles off Pt Cartwright we came across 3 whales in a Mini Competition Pod.
Some fluke up dives & several close encounters from them.
1 individual left the pod so we followed it as it joined another whale up ahead that was tail slapping. Close encounters with both as they swam around and mugged the boat. Some Spy Hopping and peduncle throws from them as well! The original pod behind the boat (approx. 400 – 500 mtrs) were also head lunging & breaching!
