SPECTACULAR!
It doesn’t get much better than this! 7 whales!
Beautiful weather on our afternoon cruise today…
A mother and a calf were spotted 4 miles offshore with the calf causing a ruckus jumping and splashing all about. As we approached they decided they weren’t up for playing today and swam off.
A single whale alone was tail slapping and peduncle throwing in the distance so we headed over to check him out. Again though he was not interested and swam away.
We erred on the side of caution (more so than we normally do) with the next 2 whales staying 400 metres away. They decided it was play time and swam straight up to the boat swimming all around and under us for 3/4’s of an hour before they swam away.
The last pair we saw was also a mother and calf and the calf was breaching and chin slapping!
