10.30 am cruise – 5 whales
Friendly whales around the boat with squeals of excitement from our passengers as they splashed and played for over an hour. Just 2 miles off Mooloolaba Bay all the action started as a Mother & Calf were frolicking with multiple Breaches & Pectoral Fin Slapping.
2pm cruise – 6 whales
The afternoon turned on splendid weather as Whale One cruised out to find her first pod just 2 mile off shore. 1 single whale stole our attention for a short time and then another pod of 2 were sighted a short distance ahead. This pod turned into a competition pod of 4 with some frantic head lunging and pushing going on. All eyes were on this pod as they were Breaching over and over. A massive pod of Common Dolphins were also with us for a sort time playing in the bow waves. Other whales were sighted further out with plenty more in the area.
