Morning cruise:
On our morning cruise wehad calm conditions with a gentle swell and what a beautiful sunny day it is for the middle of winter. We saw a mother and very newborn calf just a mile from Point Cartwright. The calf is very newborn, you can see the neo natal marks still on it’s skin!
We also saw another single yearling calf 4 miles from shore, putting on a show of peduncle throws and splashes!
Afternoon cruise:
This afternoons cruisers were treated to another mother and calf who were being gallantly escorted by an older male 4 nautical miles out. They gave us some close encounters and a few fluke up dives. On the way back into port, they came across another single whale and a brief sighting of some playful dolphins. The weather remained calm with a gentle swell.
