Whale Report Tuesday 23rd August

This morning we found 2 whales 3 nautical miles offshore and had many amazing close encounters with the friendly pair. They treated us to a display of spy hops, fluke up-dives, rollovers and pec slaps and we stayed alongside them for most of this morning’s trip. On our way back we spotted a mother and calf cruising north and spent some time with them before heading back to shore.

This afternoons cruise had a mother and a calf just 2 nautical miles of north Cartwright, breaching and playing. Later moving onto 2 nautical miles of Mudjimba Island to more Humpback whales with lots of breaching, tail slaps, spy hops and close encounters.
