Lovely conditions on the water this morning with calm seas and a gentle breeze. Our first mother and calf were spotted heading south 1 nautical mile east of Point Cartwright. The calf was breaching but became shy as we approached. A further 3 nautical miles north east we saw a second mother and calf with an escort. The mother and calf delighted everyone on board with breaching, tail slaps and peduncle throws giving Wild One a great show. Whale One was joined by several Bottlenose dolphins on their return to shore.
This afternoon saw many more Whales out and about on the beautiful calm Mooloolaba seas. First up the crew had a brief encounter with mother and calf and then moved on for more action from another mother her calf and a escort whale, the calf was giving lots of close encounters giving a good show for those on board Whale One today.
