Sea conditions were very calm this morning as Whale One went out in search of whales. They came across a mother, calf and escort only 2 nautical miles out who were cruising along calmly on the way back to the southern oceans who gave us some fluke up dives on the way. Another couple of adult whales were found doing some more fluke up dives as well as a turtle out near the Inner Gneerings.
Wild One set out at 1.00pm and the crew have come back describing it as the best whale watching day they have seen all season. Full breaches close to the boat, fluke up dives, REALLY close encounters, everything in the whale manual was seen today. Spectacular from every angle.
