Our morning trip saw a Mother and calf duo only 3kms offshore of Point Cartwright. The calf was breaching and the mother gave us some huge peduncle throws. Further on our trip we came across a pod of 3 whales. A mother, her calf and a male escort-A humpback family celebrating Father’s Day with a swim! These whales were very friendly and we regularly on the surface.
On our way back in we saw a single male who was cruising along very slowly.
This afternoon’s cruise started 2kms off Point Cartwright with a very new born calf and its Mother. This newborn tried to breach, head lunge and tail slap which was a very cute sight for our guests. Later, we had a pod of 3 male humpbacks put on a show. They did some breaching and slapped their pec flukes. We even got to see them swim under and around the boat. Also today we had a big pod of dolphins with a baby dolphin under a metre in length! What a fabulous day for all our families onboard!
