Today whale one came across its first pod of two whales early into the trip. These whales were completely launching themselves out of the water (known as a double breach) within 50m of the vessel! They were also performing monstorous peduncle throws, tail slaps and head lunges. About half a mile away from these whales, the vessel spotted a competition pod of six whales! This pod of six also put on a show for the passengers performing everything from breaches, peduncle throws and head lunges, to pec slaps and tail slaps! Even when passengers thought the action was over a pod of two whales was spotted on the return trip home.

The wind was slight between 5-10 knots, providing a very minimal 1/2-1m swell.

It was an excellent day enjoyed by all on board!!!
