On the sea’s today the whale watching went very smoothly, with winds at only 4-5 knots and a swell of only one meter. The Whales were not overly active today but many pods were seen and some interesting behaviour was observed. The most attractive pod of today was a pod of three sighted 6 miles off the coast; the graceful whales swam side by side for over 10 mins until they split off as singles. One of these whales was closely monitored and preformed fluke up and fluke down dives for the onlookers as he travelled north. Several other pods were seen throughout the journey and one single whale was caught logging (sleeping) 4 miles off the coast on the journey back into shore, which was a very beautiful sight.
