Today the sun was out and the seas were calm. A pleasant change from the past few weeks.

The skipper reported 1 single adult swimming north approximately 10 mile off Mooloolaba today. This whale was very friendly and kept all the passengers amused as he breached a total of 10 times. At times coming up very close to the boat giving all the passengers a bird’s eye view of him. This happy humpback is continuing his migration north to the Whitsundays where he will join in the annual mating ritual in their breeding grounds.

The conditions were good with only 1 meter of Easterly swell and approx 10 – 12 knots of breeze. The skipper rated the day as an 8 out of 10 day.  Later this morning the crew came across a pod of common dolphins riding our bow wave.
