The magnificent Sunshine Coast weather has given us yet another lovely day out on the ocean whale watching. We saw a total of 5 whales, 2 singles and a pod of 3. We followed the 3 north bound while watching a display of fluke up and fluke down dives. This pod was friendly and swam very close to the boat many times. In the distance about 1 mile away from the boat a couple of whales were breaching but we couldn’t get close to them. The swell was between 1 and 2 meters and a breeze of 10 – 13 knots.
