Monday’s booked out trip turned out to be a fabulous morning aboard Whale One. Seas were 1/2 metre, the southerly breeze was about 10 knots and the entertainment of many whales was enjoyed by all.
We saw 2 humpbacks and spent about 1 hour with them giving us some close encounters with their fluke up dives and peduncle throws. We also saw other whales breaching at a distance. We were surrounded with pods in front and behind the boat. On our return trip into the harbour we were welcomed by a mother and baby dolphin which we stopped to look at. It was a lovely day out on the sea, a good morning all round.
