This morning Whale One cruised out in excellent conditions with only 1 meter lazy swell and a 5-10 knot NW breeze. On the morning cruise we saw a total of three single whales. One gigantic whale was very active and curious, breaching right beside the boat. With squeals of delight the passengers witnessed more antics with a succession of fluke up dives. Everyone was able to enjoy a cl0se encounter with this amazing creature and on our way back to The Wharf came across a pod of dolphins!
The afternoon we had more amazing experiences. We saw two single whales followed by a pod of two whales. The pod of two performed an amazing show for us. They would not stop breaching right by the boat! As well as breaching they were head lunging, fluke up diving (displaying their tail flukes) and tail slapping just meters away from the boat.
