Beautiful calm seas today with only five knots of light breeze. 8 miles out we found two single whales who were charging south with long down times. However, 12 miles out we found another two whales who put on an amazing show with over an hour of breaching and fin slapping. We then met up with another whale who treated us to spy hops (when the whale sticks its head out of the water to take a look around), tail slaps, peduncle throws, breaching and close encounters with the whale swimming right up to and around the boat. It was an absolutely beautiful day and whale one came back to the wharf in sunshine with very happy passengers. Watch this space for photos coming soon!
