Today there was about 7 knots of North- North Easterly breeze with a little chop and froth on the ocean, it was fairly flat. We spotted a mother and calf about 3.5 miles out but they were a bit wary and kept their distance even as we watched for about 25 minutes. We then saw 2 juveniles who had down times of 3-10 minutes and fluke up dives as they continued on their way. We then saw splashes about 4 miles out and found a mother and calf, they came near the boat for close encounters on a regular basis. On the way back in we spotted an unusual sight- flying fish!
