Today there was a little bit of chop on the water with 10 knots of southerly breeze blowing, but the whales didn’t mind at all! We found a pod of 3 around 2.5 miles east of Pt. Cartwright, they were charging around with fluke up dives and a pectoral wave from one. We then headed out towards an adult and juvenile (possibly a mother and last years calf) we could see slightly further out, on our way to these we saw another pod of two in the distance. The adult and juvenile performed 3 big breaches, and we saw another single whilst we were watching them. We also saw a Leatherback turtle this morning.
