Glassy conditions today allowed us to spot our first whales of the day heading south only 2 nautical miles off Point Cartwright. They greeted us by waving hello with some pec slaps and close encounters before another pod of 3 joined in the fun delighting our guests with perduncle throws and head lunges. Heading home we came across another 2 yearlings and almost 2 dozen dolphins near Mudjimba Island.
This afternoons cruise found our first 2 yearlings at Inner Gneerings heading south. They charmed us with their fluke up dives and close encounters. We then came across a mother and calf 4 nautical miles out who delighted us with some head lunges and an inquisitive calf that came in close to check the boat out.
