The sun was shining out on the water today, perfect for seeing whales! This morning our guests were treated to some great sightings today indeed! We saw one single whale 4 nautical miles out and another single whale 5 nautical miles out was spotted also.
A large pod was spotted near HMAS Brisbane about 12 whales were altogether at one stage! They provided some entertainment by spy hopping,tail slapping, pec slapping as well as giving some very close encounters, much to the delight of our guests on board.
This afternoons cruise saw a pod of 2 whales, 4 nautical miles out who displayed some pec slapping and fluke up dives. A large pod of 30 dolphins and 2 more whales were joined by another 3 whales were swimming around the boat. They gave us some fabulous close encounters.
