Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast

Small ceremonies can take place onboard with divine scenery of the sun setting over the river mouth or the afternoon sun sparkling on the ocean in one of our calm water bays. The Queensland coastline makes a majestic backdrop for a wedding on the bow of the boat.

If you are hosting a larger number of guests, there are many beautiful and photogenic ceremony locations nearby that are available and can be styled however you like. These spots include riverfront venues with views of the marina, famous local beaches, sprawling riverfront parks with native greenery, traditional yet unique chapels and stunning vista points overlooking the sea. We would love to help you choose the perfect ceremony location based on your individual needs. 

The Vessel, Whale One

 Imagine your wedding on the water, cruising along the vibrant Mooloolah River aboard beautiful newly refurbished Whale One, a 19 metre catamaran with a spacious open-air top deck and luxurious and comfortable lounge on the first floor with two fully licensed bars. Our vessel is suitable for all weather with full cover in all main areas and retractable windows. There are two toilet facilities with running water and vanities. Our enhanced sound system has four zone capabilities and includes wireless microphone use for speeches and three TVs for slideshows and videos. Whale One is equipped with all the necessary marine safety gear. Max capacity of the vessel is 115 guests cocktail style.

Catering packages

Let us handle everything for you! Our catering is sure to impress. With fresh local seafood, meats and produce combined with unique flavors from around the world, we have developed a high-end, delectable menu. Our packages include canapes, grazing boards, and our onboard grill with a private chef preparing hot food throughout your trip. Options for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten free as requested. We have storage facilities for your wedding cake and will cut and plate for a small cakage fee.

Drink packages

Let our friendly RSA bar professionals take care of you. We take pride in our customer service and aim to make and unforgettable night for all our guests. Our two licensed bars on the top deck and in the lounge will keep the good times flowing. Our extensive drinks menu has all your favorite beverages. We are happy to source any special drink requests if discussed in advance. We offer a wide range of beverage packages. Choose to either be charged on a consumption basis, or alternatively, take advantage of an open bar beverage package for an allotted time of your choice.

Acoustic & DJs

Let us help you find the perfect artist to compliment the vibe of your wedding. Local musician profiles are available for your listening pleasure upon booking. Live entertainment is included in all wedding packages as it is highly recommended, but can be removed with a reduced cost if you prefer the playlist option. You are welcome to hire your own musician and arrange that cost to be removed from your package quote.
